A major concern for seniors – particularly those who live alone – is continuing to eat properly to stay healthy. Senior Connections offers several meal services for seniors and institutions including home delivered meals and congregate family style meals

If you are unlikely to qualify for free or discounted meals as a low-income senior, please visit Connections Catering, our full-service catering company where you can order a great meal and support our programs at the same time.

HOME DELIVERED MEALS

Senior Connections is a Meals on Wheels agency providing nutritious, daily meals to seniors throughout the Metro Atlanta area and Macon, Georgia.  Our kitchens will produce over 700,000 meals this year.  Through the use of staff and volunteers, meals are delivered Monday through Saturday to housebound seniors. For many, this is the only contact they will have that day, creating an invaluable opportunity to check on their health and condition. That’s when a meal means even more.

Meal options include: standard, low-salt (2 grams of sodium daily), diabetic (1800 calorie per day), modified (combination of low-salt and diabetic), mechanical soft (for those with trouble swallowing), renal, no pork, no seafood and vegetarian. Kosher meals are also available. Senior Connections is proud to be delivering meals to Holocaust survivors in Atlanta.

CONGREGATE FAMILY STYLE MEALS

This program offers the delivery of family style or congregate meals to locations throughout Metro Atlanta and Middle Georgia. These larger food deliveries are great for two reasons: the cost per individual meal is low, and the facilities can concentrate on key duties and responsibilities. Congregate meals are delivered to be served by in-house staff - they're a great option for housing complexes, schools, and other institutions. CONNECTIONS CAFÉ

Our Connections Café model serves meals especially prepared for seniors when it comes to nutrition and portion size. The food is prepared fresh daily by our kitchen staff and chefs, and all proceeds go to funding our Meals on Wheels program.  The model is currently being used daily at the cafe at Cobb County's Powder Springs facility.

Our menu includes a chef’s special combined meal, along with your choice of sandwiches, salads, and soups. Dessert, fresh fruit, and drinks are also available.
