DIRECTOR, FUNDRAISING

As director of fundraising, Kathleen is a key member of Senior Connection’s leadership team, coordinating all fundraising efforts, including soliciting and securing corporate sponsorships, facilitating relationships with major donors and project managing major fundraising events each year.

She is responsible for our annual giving campaign, Circle of Friends, and designs and sells multi-level sponsorship packages that meet the needs of our sponsors while providing critical donations necessary to support Senior Connections’ programming. The Senior Prom, held in May, and the Annual Golf Tournament in November are just two the events that Kathleen oversees.

The Senior Connections’ donor database is used for targeted mailings, both electronic and paper, and it is Kathleen’s duty to maintain the accuracy of the data, coordinating activities with public relations and marketing efforts for the organization.

Kathleen has a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts from Furman University, graduating cum laude. She has studied extensively in Europe and Asia and is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.

She garnered experience working in the Development Office of the School of Public and International Affairs at UGA while pursuing her masters degree and as a senior admissions counselor at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. She was a member of the Furman University Leadership Program, 2002-2005, and the Macon Symphony Board of Directors in 2005-2006.
