Sunday, September 12, 2010 is Grandparents' Day. Unfortunately, many of our seniors don't have grandchildren to make sure they are safe in their homes, with no worry about where their next meal is coming from.

For those older adults, Senior Connections is there for them. Our mission is to maximize independence for seniors through advocacy, information and services. We fulfill this mission by:

• Producing and delivering more than 2,500 meals per day to Atlanta area seniors
• Providing more than 40,000 hours of home care per year
• Pumping millions of dollars back into the community via home repair and weatherization programs designed to make seniors' homes safe and reduce living expenses

This year, we are asking anyone with a grandparent that they love to help grandparents who are in need. Our "Grand Connection" fundraising campaign is in honor of Grandparent's Day, September 12th, but it runs throughout the month of September.
