VolunteerVolunteerism is extremely important to the strength and success of Senior Connections. We rely on our dedicated volunteers who give freely of their time and talents in the interest of others. We offer many great opportunities for you to volunteer with us.

  • You can deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound senior neighbors in your area - weekdays and Saturdays
  • We need help preparing and packaging up to 2,500 meals at our kitchen in Chamblee
  • Our five Neighborhood Senior Centers always need administrative and kitchen volunteers
  • Group Trip Supervisors are needed periodically each month
  • You could participate as an Activity Coordinator, engaging seniors in activities like book clubs, movie days, puzzles and games, and general exercise
  • Or join us for an occasional, one-time event opportunity!

Locations include North and South DeKalb, Scottdale, Lithonia and East Atlanta. To volunteer, please call Heather V. Volunteer orientations are conducted every second and fourth Monday at 1:00 PM at our main office: 5238 Peachtree Road, Chamblee, Georgia 30341. Periodic Saturday orientations are also available. Call today to reserve your space. Share the joy of volunteering to help others.

An Invitation to Our Seniors

RSVP is issuing an “invitation to Serve” to older adults who would love to make a difference through the meaningful use of their skills, talents, interests and knowledge in volunteer service to their communities. RSVP involves older adults in volunteer experiences that match their personal interests and makes use of their varied life and professional expertise.

RSVP areas of interest include: Disaster Preparedness, Consumer Fraud, RSVP programs enable people to contribute to their communities and feel good about themselves through the rewarding experience of volunteering where huge impacts for good are realized.

With RSVP, you choose how and where you want to serve. You choose the amount of time you want to give. And you choose whether you want to draw on your skills or develop new ones. In short, you find the opportunity that’s right for you. RSVP is America’s largest volunteer network for people age 55 and over.

Requirements- Must be age 55, own a reliable vehicle, and willing to facilitate presentations within the DeKalb County area.

With RSVP, you’ll receive pre-service orientation, training from the where you serve, and supplemental insurance while on duty.
