About Us

Since 1973, Senior Connections has served metropolitan Atlanta with programs and services designed to help seniors "age in place" in the comfort of their own homes. Originally known as DeKalb Community Council on Aging (DCCOA), the agency became Senior Connections, Inc. in 1992 to respond to the needs of the growing senior population in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area.

Who we serve:

Anyone age 60 or over is eligible for services, regardless of income level. Senior Connections also offers services and information to help families cope with the many dilemmas that can arise as parents, grandparents, friends, and loved ones "come of age".

What we do:

Senior Connections offers a range of quality services provided by skilled professionals and community volunteers.

  • Meals on Wheels
  • Home Repair
  • In-Home Care
  • Neighborhood Senior Centers

While those with the financial means to do so pay the full cost of services, there are public funds, United Way grants, and private donations that help subsidize the cost of services to those in need. Senior Connections never denies service due to the inability to pay.

How we do it:

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Senior Connections relies on the community for support. Funding for our programs comes from a variety of sources including local, state and federal governments, grants and donations from foundations, businesses, corporations, religious organizations and individuals.
